Norton Security Suite available to Comcast customers

Comcast has previously been offering its subscribers a version of McAfee free to guard against viruses. I originally thought this was great so I downloaded the free version to my main system about a year ago. After install, on reboot , my system froze and became unuseable. As soon as I was able to stabilize my system, I removed the McAfee and reinstalled my norton internet security. I would like to say I have always used Norton professionally and personally and never experienced a problem. Now Comcast is offering Norton Security Suite for its subscribers free and I couldn’t be more excited. ¬†Many of my customers have been using free antivirus scanners from the internet but a professional version is better especially at no additional cost if you are a Comcast subscriber. I also went to online chat and discovered that you can use this Norton on up to seven computers as long as you are a Comcast subscriber.

Apple Certified Macintosh Technician

Are you aware that Apple certified technicians must recertify every year by taking a test on current software and hardware?  I am also A+ and Network + certified but once you have those you can always claim that distinction. No recertification necessary even though technology changes. As a technician of both pcs and apples, I keep myself informed of the latest technologies and trends. Next month apple will be releasing its new Snow Leopard operating system and soon Microsoft will be releasing its newest. Make sure the technician who works on your Mac or your PC knows what they are doing and will take good care of you and your system.

Why Every Customer Needs a Backup Plan:

1) Possible hard drive failure can lead to lost data/pictures/music/email that cannot be replaced. Pictures are priceless, music can cost $1 a song to replace and financial personal data can be almost impossible to reconstruct.

2) Accidental erasure or deleting of data (have an extra copy in case). If you were to erase something that was important, it could take you hours to recover it or get it back from someone else. Save time and have a plan.

3) Possible loss or damage of your computer. If you travel with your notebook, you always have a chance that your computer could get damaged or worse yet stolen or lost. Be sure you have a second place for your information.

4) Most people believe that they are going to back up “someday” but put it off. We talk to people every day that don’t have a back up plan until it’s too late. We can help set automatic back up schedules to be sure to increase your chances of safety of your valuable data/music/pictures/email.

5) Many people believe it is too technical and don’t want to deal with it. (Maxtor/Seagate research says this is the #1 reason people don’t do it). Once we have set up your backup plan with Windows or OS X you will have a simpler way to manage your back ups in the future.
